You are not going to spend $200 on a co-worker's wedding but you wouldn't think twice about doing so for your brother or sister's wedding. Sadly, also in this day and age, invitations are sent out to some guests in hopes of a significant gift. This is especially so in some families where the parents are picking up the tab for the wedding. Just my thoughts, I agree with evaluating their relationship to you and making the decision based on that relationship.
