Finding a Florist: It’s Easier Said Than Done
Any major city has hundreds of florist companies that will be putting their best foot forward during the wedding season. How do you figure out which florist will be able to deliver the beautiful floral arrangements that YOU want?
Take it from me, it’s tough to find a florist that will deliver on your big day. Here’s a few tips that I’ve picked up along the way and these will help you find a professional and trustworthy florist in your area.
Review Your Florist’s Work
Take a look around. Has your florist done work for other people that you know? Look through their books or even ask for a sample that they have done in the past. If you find a florist that has done similar work to what you’re looking for, and you love it, then don’t be afraid to go with them because most likely they will do a really good job for you if they have experience. Reputation is everything in the wedding business. Look online to see if they have any review already posted about them. In this day in age, brides blog about their experience with wedding vendors, so read up on those too.
Interview Your Florist
Get to know your florist, you’ll be working with them for quite some time! Get to know how they work, do they return calls on time, are they detail oriented? – All of these things matter, so notice them before you start to invest money and time with them. Personalities matter: select one that you’re comfortable working with and one that you get along with. Make sure that your florist is a good listener, you’re paying them to create a theme, an image, a style – they should be listening to you, not telling you their ideas.
